Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Fiber Optic Splicing Manager to oversee and execute fiber optic splicing operations. This role involves managing fiber optic ribbon splicing, conducting comprehensive fiber optic testing, and ensuring quality standards are met across all projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise in fiber optic testing methods, including OTDR, BiDi OLTs, and iOLM testing, along with experience using EXFO Fast Reporter. Proficiency in Word and Excel is essential for documentation and reporting purposes. As a key leader within our team, the Fiber Optic Splicing Manager will ensure efficient project execution while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Duties

• Lead and supervise fiber optic ribbon splicing activities to ensure precise and reliable connections.
• Perform detailed fiber optic testing utilizing OTDR, BiDi OLTs, and iOLM testing equipment to verify network integrity and performance.
• Utilize EXFO Fast Reporter for testing procedures, analysis, and reporting to streamline operations.
• Oversee daily operations of fiber splicing teams, providing technical guidance and ensuring adherence to industry standards.
• Maintain accurate documentation of splicing activities, test results, and project progress using Word and Excel.
• Coordinate with project managers and technical teams to plan and execute fiber optic installation projects efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and quality assurance procedures throughout all operations.
• Troubleshoot issues related to fiber splicing or testing equipment promptly to minimize downtime.
• Stay updated on the latest advancements in fiber optic technology and incorporate best practices into daily work.

Skills

• Extensive experience in fiber optic ribbon splicing with a focus on quality and precision.
• Strong knowledge of fiber optic testing techniques including OTDR, BiDi OLTs, iOLM testing, with practical experience using EXFO Fast Reporter software.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel for documentation, reporting, and data analysis.
• Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage technical teams effectively.
• Strong problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot complex fiber optic issues efficiently.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and stakeholders clearly.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
