Responsibilities

• Install fiber optic cables, telecommunications network cables, and related infrastructure in residential and commercial settings.
• Perform fiber splicing using specialized tools to ensure optimal signal transmission.
• Use hand tools, wire strippers, wire crimpers, power tools, and electrical testing equipment such as voltmeters and ohmmeters to complete installations accurately.
• Operate company vehicles safely to travel between job sites while adhering to all safety protocols.
• Conduct equipment testing to verify network integrity and troubleshoot issues with Cisco routers, Ethernet connections, and telephony systems.
• Install satellite dishes and other telecommunications equipment while providing excellent customer service during field service visits.
• Utilize ladder use, cable management techniques, and outdoor work experience to complete projects efficiently in various environments.
• Document work progress through detailed reports, logs, and inspection checklists to maintain accurate records of installations and repairs.

Experience

• Proven experience as a telecommunications infrastructure technician or service technician in fiber optic or cable installation projects.
• Hands-on knowledge of network installation processes including fiber splicing, Ethernet wiring, telecommunication cabling, and electrical work.
• Familiarity with Cisco routers, telephony systems, satellite dish installation, and equipment testing procedures.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools such as wire strippers, crimpers, voltmeters, ohmmeters, and power tools for outdoor fieldwork.
• Demonstrated ability to operate company vehicles safely while managing multiple job sites efficiently.
• Strong customer service skills with experience working directly with clients during residential telecommunications installations.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety standards and attention to detail.

Pay: $700.00 - $1,000.00 per week
