Fibre Insulation Supervisor

About the role

NZ Labour Hire is looking for an experienced Fibre Insulation Supervisor to join a 6-month communications project in Dunedin.

This is a hands-on supervisory role, so you will be expected to oversee work while also getting involved on the tools and assisting with general labouring when required.

Key responsibilities

• Supervising and coordinating fibre insulation installation teams on site, ensuring work is completed to specification and on schedule
• Conducting regular safety briefings and ensuring all Health and Safety regulations are adhered to at all times
• Inspecting completed work to verify quality standards and compliance with project specifications
• Managing project timelines, resources and budgets to ensure cost-effectiveness and efficiency
• Communicating with clients, project managers and other stakeholders regarding project progress and any issues that may arise
• Training and mentoring team members on installation techniques and company procedures
• Maintaining accurate records of work completed, materials used and any incidents or near-misses
• Identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions to enhance operational performance
• Troubleshooting technical issues and providing on-site support to resolve problems promptly

What we're looking for

• Proven experience as a Fibre Insulation Supervisor or in a similar supervisory role within the insulation or trades industry
• Strong knowledge of fibre insulation installation techniques, materials and safety procedures
• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate teams effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise with diverse stakeholders
• Sound understanding of Health and Safety at Work legislation and commitment to maintaining safe work practices
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and project specifications
• Problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure
• A valid driver's licence
• Able to commit to the full 6-months of this project
