Field Application Engineer

For our client, we are seeking a Field Application Engineer to join the team of a leader in the Technical Services space.

This remote role will partner closely with sales and technical stakeholders to translate customer needs into compelling solutions. The position is focused on helping prospects evaluate complex software architectures, developing proofs of concept, and supporting the sales process with credible technical expertise. You will also serve as a trusted technical resource for developers, executives, and internal teams while representing the organization externally through content and speaking engagements.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $130,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Help customers evaluate software architectures for defense-related systems
• Communicate technical solutions to executives, developers, and other stakeholders
• Develop proof-of-concept prototypes for prospective clients
• Collaborate with account managers to develop and execute sales strategies
• Relay customer technical requirements to Product Management and engineering teams
• Contribute expertise in online developer community forums
• Publish technical articles and represent the organization at speaking engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or computer science; Master's preferred
• 5+ years in application-facing technical roles or sales
• Proficiency in programming languages including C/C++, Python, Java, and .NET
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Solid understanding of operating systems and network concepts
• Self-motivated with a proactive sales mindset
• U.S. Citizenship required due to government regulations
