Field Application Engineer - High Speed Interconnects

For our client, we are seeking a Field Application Engineer - High Speed Interconnects to join the team of a leader in the Business Services space.

This role serves as a key technical partner to customers, helping translate complex interconnect needs into effective solutions that support design-in and system integration. You will work across customer, R&D, and marketing teams to shape technical decisions, troubleshoot challenges, and influence future product direction. The position is focused on high-speed optical and copper interconnect applications, with an emphasis on driving adoption through strong technical consultation and responsive support.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $145,676 – $178,049 annually

Responsibilities

• Serve as the technical interface between the company and customers for optical interconnect solutions.
• Support customer design-in activities for fiber optic connectivity and high-speed communication systems.
• Provide technical consultation on product selection and system integration.
• Drive adoption of the company's interconnect solutions by understanding customer needs.
• Collaborate with R&D and marketing teams to influence future product direction.
• Lead technical discussions and troubleshooting efforts for optical and copper interconnects.
• Support qualification activities with test plans and validated data.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher, completed and verified prior to start.
• Three years of experience in a customer-facing technical, applications engineering, or similar role.
• Two years of experience with high-speed interconnect technologies.
• Current, valid Driver’s License.
