Field Audit Supervisor

Job Summary

The Field Audit Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and conducting on-site audits across company branches and warehouses nationwide to ensure compliance with internal policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards. The role provides supervision and guidance to the audit team, identifies process inefficiencies and operational risks, and recommends effective internal control measures to safeguard company assets, particularly in the handling, storage, and distribution of salt and chemical products.

Job Description

• Supervise and lead the field audit team in conducting regular and ad hoc audits at company branches and warehouses nationwide.
• Plan and coordinate audit activities, including audit schedules, scope, procedures, and resource allocation.
• Review and verify the accuracy of inventory records for salt, chemicals, and other agri-products through physical counts, spot checks, and reconciliation.
• Review and validate supporting documents, including purchase orders, delivery receipts, sales invoices, stock movement reports, and other relevant records.
• Evaluate internal controls, operational processes, and compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
• Identify control weaknesses, process gaps, inventory discrepancies, and potential operational risks, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, sales, and other operational teams to assess and improve workflows and controls.
• Review and consolidate audit findings and ensure the timely preparation and submission of comprehensive audit reports with risk ratings and actionable recommendations.
• Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective and preventive actions and report progress to management.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and performance feedback to audit team members to ensure quality and consistency of audit work.
• Coordinate with management and relevant departments on audit findings, recommendations, and resolution of identified issues.
• Support external audits, regulatory inspections, and other compliance-related activities as needed.
• Perform other audit and control-related functions as may be assigned by management.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of relevant supervisory experience, preferably in audit, inventory control, compliance, manufacturing, distribution, logistics, or a related industry.
• Proven experience in leading or supervising audit teams and managing field audit activities.
• Strong knowledge of internal controls, inventory management, audit procedures, and risk assessment.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and SAP or other ERP systems.
• Willingness to travel frequently for nationwide field audits.
• Excellent communication, leadership, and report-writing skills.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple audit assignments and deadlines.
• High level of integrity, discretion, accountability, and professional ethics.
• Ability to work independently and effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
