Field Auditor

About the role

Peridou Inc. is seeking a Field Auditor to join our Accounting department in Quezon City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality external audit services to our clients. As a Field Auditor, you will be responsible for conducting on-site audit procedures, ensuring compliance with accounting standards, and providing valuable insights that support our clients' financial integrity and regulatory requirements. This position is integral to maintaining Peridou Inc.'s reputation for excellence in external audit services.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct detailed field audit procedures at client locations, including testing of transactions, account balances, and internal controls
• Prepare comprehensive audit working papers and documentation in accordance with professional auditing standards
• Perform substantive procedures and analytical review to identify potential audit risks and anomalies
• Evaluate the design and operating effectiveness of client internal control systems
• Conduct interviews with client personnel to gather audit evidence and understand business operations
• Assist in the preparation of audit findings, recommendations, and management letters
• Ensure audit procedures are completed within budgeted time and in compliance with audit plans
• Communicate audit progress and issues to the audit team and senior management
• Support the senior audit team in the preparation of audit reports and financial statement reviews
• Maintain professional standards of confidentiality and independence throughout all audit engagements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• Professional qualification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or equivalent is preferred
• Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in external audit or similar audit-related roles
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards (ISA, IFRS), and regulatory requirements
• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify discrepancies and anomalies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with clients and internal stakeholders
• Willingness to travel to client sites as required
• Strong organisational skills and time management abilities
