Field Commissioning Specialist (Onsite Systems)

About the Role

Imagine starting your week by rolling into a client site, unpacking a carefully curated kit of tools and parts, and bringing a new system online. You map the install, configure components, run validation tests, and walk the customer through basic operation before closing out precise service notes. By midweek, you’re troubleshooting a tricky issue at another location, escalating a risk to the FSM, and coordinating with the program team to keep throughput targets on track. Safety and SOPs guide every move you make, and your productivity across multiple locations keeps timelines intact.

What You’ll Do

• Install and configure equipment and integrated systems directly at client facilities.
• Diagnose issues in real time and perform repairs to restore functionality.
• Run testing and validation protocols to confirm performance post‑install.
• Adhere to defined SOPs and quality standards to ensure consistent outcomes.
• Document work thoroughly, including install reports and service records.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and an organized inventory of spare parts.
• Engage with clients on site, providing basic training on newly installed systems.
• Identify and escalate risks, delays, or technical blockers as they emerge.
• Drive installation throughput across assigned locations to meet program targets.
• Collaborate closely with the Field Service Manager (FSM) and program teams to optimize execution.

Travel & Schedule

• Travel 75–100% in a full‑deployment model, primarily within your region, with some out‑of‑town projects.
• Move continuously between project sites (regional or nationwide as assigned).
• Expect extended stays near active job locations, often for multiple weeks.
• Be flexible for night/weekend work and accelerated timelines tied to client deadlines.

What You Bring

• 2+ years of hands‑on field service, installation, or related technical experience.
• Strong electromechanical and technical troubleshooting capabilities.
• Comfort working independently in dynamic, changing field environments.
• Readiness to travel extensively and adapt to variable site conditions.
• Proven adherence to structured SOPs and rigorous safety practices.
