Field Coordinator

Ayoob & Peery is a locally owned mechanical contractor based in San Francisco.

Our focus is in wet side mechanical building systems, including general plumbing, steam heating, hydronics, and fire protection. As a design/build firm, we provide solutions for projects of all stages – from early design and development to construction and operations.

We are seeking to fill an Entry-Level Field Coordinator position on our project management team in San Francisco.

The Field Coordinator will serve as the primary liaison between our office staff and our on-site field teams (Superintendents, Foremen, and field trades). This role directly contributes to project success by ensuring our field crews have the manpower, materials, tools, and documentation they need to keep construction moving smoothly. Ultimately, the Field Coordinator will improve field efficiency, support safety compliance, and streamline day-to-day job site logistics.

Job Responsibilities:

• Act as the main point of contact for field foremen needing office support, materials, or documentation.
• Coordinate and track daily manpower and assist with union dispatch paperwork and onboarding.
• Manage the inventory, tracking, maintenance, and dispatch of company tools, equipment, and fleet vehicles.
• Coordinate and schedule material and equipment deliveries to various job sites to ensure zero downtime for field crews.
• Assist field personnel with job site badging, parking logistics, and security clearances.
• Collect, review, and process weekly field timesheets and daily reports for payroll and project tracking.
• Support the implementation of project safety plans by distributing, collecting, and logging weekly Toolbox Talks and safety documentation.
• Assist Project Managers and Superintendents with the logistical setup (mobilization) and breakdown (demobilization) of job sites.
• Maintain clear and continuous communication between the field, the warehouse, and the project management team.
• Walk jobs prior to, during and following crew mobilizations.
• Meet with inspectors to secure signatures for sign off of installations.

Job Requirements:

• 1-3 years of experience in construction administration, field coordination, warehouse logistics, or dispatching.
• Familiarity with the mechanical construction industry (plumbing, piping, HVAC) is highly preferred.
• Exceptional organizational and problem-solving skills, with the ability to handle urgent, last-minute requests.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work seamlessly with both rugged field crews and professional office management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Experience with construction management or tool tracking software (e.g., Procore, ToolWatch) is a plus.
• Understanding of construction safety regulations and basic union labor rules.
• Ability to work independently and juggle multiple projects simultaneously.
• Valid driver's license, as occasional travel to local job sites or vendors may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $27.00 - $32.00 per hour
