Job Description:

Required Skills:

Hands-on Network & Field Infrastructure Deployment — Experience installing/configuring switches, firewalls, wireless access points, network racks, and basic jobsite networks. They need someone who can arrive onsite and execute without significant technical oversight.

Low-Voltage Cabling & Physical Technology Installation — Strong understanding of structured/LV cabling, rack builds, cable troubleshooting, TV/display mounting, and coordinating the physical installation components. They don’t necessarily need to personally perform every cable run, but they need to understand the work well enough to oversee subcontractors.

Independent Field Leadership &

Customer/Contractor Coordination — Ability to act as the onsite technical lead, communicate directly with Companies, coordinate subcontractors, troubleshoot issues in real time, and keep deployments moving. For this role, I’d consider this just as important as the technical skills.

Top Three Skills

  1. Hands-on network deployment: Switches, firewalls, wireless access points, racks, connectivity troubleshooting, and basic network setup.

  2. Independent field leadership: Must be comfortable owning the onsite deployment, communicating with the customer, coordinating contractors, and solving problems without significant supervision.

  3. Low-voltage/physical infrastructure: Structured cabling, LVC, rack builds, mounting, and enough physical infrastructure knowledge to oversee subcontractors.

NICE TO HAVE:

Logitech/OWL conferencing equipment, Microsoft Teams Rooms, and broader AV experience.
