Field Engineer

LOCATION: Southern Oklahoma/North Texas

JOB SUMMARY:

A Field Engineer plays a significant role in successful planning, organizing, and implementing project engineering and implementing project engineering and project control tasks.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES/ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Assist in interpretation of drawings and specifications for field crews and craft supervision.
• Perform quantity calculations by taking measurements and determining percentage of completed/installed materials and work.
• Assist in the preparation of work plans and work packages.
• Assist in field surveying and work layout support including elevation, control points, and compilation of as-build data.
• Assist in compiling processing and confirming daily labor timesheets.
• Assist in the preparation of Job Hazard Analysis (JHAs)
• Order and schedule material deliveries.
• Supervise field operations.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelors degree in construction-related field of engineering or equivalent experience and education preferred.
• At least 2 years of experience in the construction field
• Must have working knowledge and be able to direct the operations of at least these management systems: scheduling CPM, unit man-hour performance, material control, estimating and subcontracts.
• Experience with leadership and management of people, communication (verbal and written), planning and organization.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Must work independently and as part of a team.
• Must be detail oriented and able to prioritize.
• Previous field operations are preferred.
