Join Schindler as a Field Engineer and play a key role in supporting the performance, safety, and reliability of lift and escalator operations. You will provide technical expertise, support maintenance activities, develop field teams, and work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to ensure high service standards and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and lead a team of technicians by setting clear performance expectations, monitoring productivity, attendance, service quality, and ensuring accountability for assigned responsibilities and targets.
• Provide technical support and guidance to technicians on maintenance, troubleshooting, and callback activities.
• Conduct site visits and engage with customers to resolve technical issues and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Monitor maintenance performance, breakdown trends, and service activities to ensure operational effectiveness.
• Support statutory inspections, CPSI activities, and compliance with JKKP, Fire Department, and other regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and review technical reports, equipment assessments, and recommendations for repair and improvement works.
• Coordinate with suppliers, subcontractors, and internal teams to support maintenance and repair activities.
• Train, coach, and develop field employees to enhance technical competency and service quality.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality, environmental, and company requirements at all times.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or a related Engineering discipline.
• Candidates with experience in maintenance, service operations, or the lift and escalator industry will have an added advantage.
• Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to effectively lead, coach, motivate, and develop a team of field employees.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and maintenance practices.
• Ability to analyze technical issues and prepare technical reports.
• Good communication and customer relationship management skills.
• Strong problem-solving, coaching, and coordination abilities.
• Self-motivated, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Registration with the Board of Engineers Malaysia (BEM) or eligibility for registration is an added advantage.
