Field Engineer

We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented Field Engineer to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. In this role, you will be responsible for the technical and cost planning, coordination, and successful execution of engineering projects. You will serve as the primary technical liaison between our clients and internal project teams, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and in full compliance with HSE and contractual standards.

Key Responsibilities

● Planning & Execution: Review project scope, contract terms, and client work packs. Develop comprehensive project execution plans, schedules, and resource strategies.

● Team Leadership & Briefing: Lead project kick-off meetings and brief service teams on scope, technical requirements, and execution plans.

● Resource Management: Determine manpower requirements, prepare/verify Material Take-Offs (MTO), and identify necessary tools, equipment, consumables, and spare parts.

● Stakeholder Coordination: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients and end-users regarding schedules, technical matters, mobilization, and execution changes.

● Documentation & Mobilization: Verify personnel certifications, medical fitness, competency records, and HSE readiness (including JHA, ERP, and PTW) prior to site mobilization.

● Monitoring & Reporting: Track project progress, technical quality, and HSE compliance. Provide regular progress reports, risk assessments, and resource updates to Management.

● Problem Solving & Close-out: Resolve technical issues and site challenges promptly. Support full project close-out and final reporting upon completion.

Requirements & Qualifications

● Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Postgraduate Advanced Diploma in Engineering (Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechanical, or equivalent).

● Experience: Open to fresh graduates or candidates with early-career engineering experience.

● Demographics: Malaysian citizens with min 1-2 years oil and gas field experience, (preferably male candidates originally from Sabah or Sarawak).

● Language Proficiency: Good written and spoken command of English and Bahasa Malaysia.

● Skills: Excellent communication, technical problem-solving, schedule tracking, and team coordination capabilities.
