Job Summary

The Electronics Repair & Maintenance Technician is responsible for performing basic to enhanced troubleshooting, repair, testing, and preventive maintenance of electronic equipment and related systems.

The applicant should have a basic understanding of electronics, good diagnostic skills, proper documentation and reporting, and the ability to follow safety and maintenance procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform basic to enhanced troubleshooting and repair of electronic equipment, control boards, modules, sensors, power supplies, and related components.
• Conduct inspection, testing, diagnosis, and repair of equipment based on established procedures.
• Identify defective electronic components and recommend appropriate repair or replacement.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on electronic and electrical equipment.
• Use basic test instruments such as multimeter, clamp meter, soldering tools, and other electronic diagnostic equipment.
• Perform component replacement, soldering, wiring, and basic circuit-board repair when required.
• Ensure equipment is properly tested and operational after repair or maintenance.
• Prepare accurate service reports, repair reports, inspection checklists, and maintenance records.
• Properly document equipment condition, identified issues, actions taken, parts replaced, and recommendations.
• Coordinate with supervisors, customers, and other technical personnel regarding equipment issues and repair requirements.
• Maintain proper housekeeping and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored and maintained.
• Follow company safety procedures, work instructions, and quality standards at all times.
• Perform other technical and maintenance-related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Graduate of Electronics, Electrical, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, or a related technical course; vocational/technical graduates with relevant experience may also be considered.
• With basic knowledge of electronics troubleshooting and repair.
• Knowledge of electronic components, circuits, wiring, and basic electrical principles.
• Able to use a digital multimeter and basic electronic test equipment.
• Basic knowledge of soldering and component replacement is an advantage.
• Can prepare clear and accurate technical/service reports.
• Able to read basic wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Willing to learn advanced troubleshooting and repair techniques.
• Can work independently and as part of a technical team.
• Fresh graduates or applicants with relevant hands-on experience are welcome to apply.

Preferred Skills

• Enhanced troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
• Experience in PCB/electronic board repair.
• Knowledge of sensors, relays, power supplies, controllers, and electronic modules.
• Basic knowledge of PLC, automation, instrumentation, or control systems is an advantage.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and documentation skills.
• Willingness to conduct field service and equipment maintenance when required.
