ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Field Engineer to support and monitor on-site construction activities from project implementation through completion.

The Field Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring that works are executed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules. This position serves as a key link between the site workforce, subcontractors, suppliers, and engineering management.

This role is ideal for individuals who are passionate about construction, engineering, site operations, and project execution. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Site Implementation and Monitoring

• Assist in the execution of construction activities on site

• Monitor daily work progress and report deviations from plans, specifications, or schedules

• Verify that works are performed according to approved drawings and project requirements

• Support site engineers and project teams in day-to-day operations

Coordination

• Coordinate with foremen, subcontractors, suppliers, and project personnel

• Communicate technical instructions, updates, and clarifications to site teams

• Assist in resolving site issues through effective coordination and follow-up

Quality Assurance

• Conduct site inspections and material verification activities

• Ensure construction works comply with quality standards and project specifications

• Monitor workmanship and report deficiencies or non-conforming work

• Assist in documenting quality inspections and corrective actions

Safety Compliance

• Assist in enforcing site safety rules and procedures

• Report unsafe acts, conditions, and potential hazards

• Coordinate with Safety Officers and site personnel to promote a safe working environment

Resource Monitoring

• Monitor material usage, equipment utilization, and manpower deployment

• Support site logistics and resource coordination

• Assist in tracking project requirements and site needs

Documentation and Reporting

• Prepare daily accomplishment reports and site updates

• Maintain records of site activities, inspections, and project progress

• Assist in completing project documentation and reports required by management

Problem Identification and Resolution

• Identify site concerns, delays, conflicts, and operational risks

• Escalate significant concerns to Project Engineers or Management

• Assist in implementing solutions and corrective actions under supervision

QUALIFICATIONS

Required

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering

• Fresh Graduates are encouraged to apply

• Strong understanding of engineering principles and construction fundamentals

• Knowledge of construction drawings and technical documents

• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications

• Strong communication and coordination skills

• Detail-oriented with good analytical and problem-solving abilities

• Willing to work on project sites and travel as required

Preferred

• PRC License is an advantage

• Knowledge of AutoCAD, MS Project, Primavera, or other engineering software

• Internship or project experience in construction or infrastructure works

• Familiarity with construction quality and safety practices

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Field Engineers primarily work on active construction sites and project locations, with occasional office-based work for reporting, documentation, planning, and coordination activities.

This role provides excellent exposure to construction operations, project management practices, engineering supervision, quality systems, and government infrastructure projects.
