Field Engineer - Electrical

Job Summary

The Field Engineer – Electrical is responsible for providing technical support and monitoring electrical works at the project site. The role ensures that electrical installation and construction activities are properly executed in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, quality standards, safety requirements, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor and supervise daily electrical construction and installation activities at the project site.
• Review and interpret electrical drawings, plans, specifications, and technical documents.
• Ensure electrical works are executed according to approved drawings and project requirements.
• Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Supervisor, Foreman, subcontractors, and other disciplines.
• Conduct site inspections and monitor the progress and quality of electrical works.
• Assist in resolving technical and site-related electrical issues.
• Monitor manpower, materials, tools, and equipment required for electrical works.
• Perform quantity take-offs, measurements, and verification of completed electrical works.
• Coordinate with QA/QC personnel to ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Coordinate with the Safety team to ensure compliance with site safety policies and procedures.
• Assist in reviewing shop drawings, material submittals, method statements, and other technical documents.
• Monitor electrical installations such as power distribution, lighting, grounding, fire alarm, and other electrical systems, as applicable to the project.
• Assist in testing and commissioning activities and ensure proper documentation of results.
• Coordinate with other disciplines to prevent conflicts and ensure proper sequencing of works.
• Prepare daily reports, progress updates, inspection requests, and other required project documentation.
• Assist in addressing RFIs, technical queries, and site instructions.
• Monitor punch list items and ensure proper completion of rectification works.
• Assist in the preparation and updating of as-built drawings and project records.
• Ensure compliance with applicable electrical codes, standards, and project specifications.
• Perform other engineering and project-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Licensed Electrical Engineer is preferred.
• At least 1–3 years of relevant experience in electrical construction or project engineering.
• Experience in building, infrastructure, industrial, energy, or other construction projects is an advantage.
• Knowledge of electrical installation, construction practices, testing, and commissioning.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of the Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) and applicable standards.
• Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD is an advantage.
• Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Willing to work on project sites and in various project locations.
