Field Engineer (Electrical Engineer)

About the role

Net Pacific, Inc. is seeking a skilled Field Engineer (Electrical Engineer) to join our dynamic engineering team. This is a full-time position based in Makati City, Metro Manila. As a Field Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the installation, commissioning, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment at client sites. You will be the technical face of our organisation in the field, ensuring that projects are executed to the highest standards whilst maintaining strong client relationships. This role is essential to our operations, directly impacting project success and customer satisfaction across the region.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct on-site installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems and equipment in accordance with technical specifications and industry standards
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical installations, identifying potential issues before they become critical problems
• Troubleshoot electrical faults and system malfunctions, utilising diagnostic tools and technical knowledge to implement timely solutions
• Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of work completed, including installation records, test results, and maintenance logs
• Liaise with clients and internal teams to understand project requirements, provide technical advice, and ensure project milestones are met
• Ensure compliance with all relevant electrical codes, safety regulations, and company procedures at all times
• Assist in the training and mentoring of junior field technicians and engineers where applicable
• Manage tools, equipment, and materials efficiently whilst maintaining accurate inventory records
• Travel to client sites as required, sometimes involving extended periods away from the office

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, power distribution, control systems, and related equipment
• Proficiency with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment, including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and thermal imaging cameras
• Solid understanding of electrical codes, safety standards, and regulatory requirements applicable in the Philippines and wider region
• Excellent problem-solving abilities with strong analytical and technical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and electrical blueprints accurately
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact professionally with clients and team members
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to remote or distant project sites
• Preferred experience: background in renewable energy systems, industrial automation, or large-scale infrastructure projects
• Preferred qualifications: professional certifications such as PEE (Professional Electrical Engineer) or relevant trade certifications
