Field Engineers

As a Field/ Site Engineer at ROOTS Communications Pte Ltd, you will support the installation, testing and site works for Roots' telecom infrastructure projects (DAS, in-building, construction and tunnel/transit systems). This is an entry-level, hands-on role with structured guidance and on-the-job training. The successful candidate will work under the direction of the Respective Manager, learn the full project workflow, and grow into greater responsibility over time. Fresh graduates and candidates with 0–2 years of experience are welcome to apply.

What you'll be doing:

• Assist the Project Manager with site coordination and follow-up tasks. To perform and manage day to day operation including on-site installation, troubleshooting and commissioning.

• Produce timely and detailed work order and service report, work closely with the site engineers/ or other site operation staff.

• Follow all WSH and permit-to-work requirements and maintain a safe and tidy work site.

• Help maintain site documentation – marking up drawings, updating progress trackers, and taking site photos.

• Learn the project processes and requirements of clients such as LTA and the mobile operators (MNOs).

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications or a related engineering field. Fresh graduates are welcome.

• 0–2 years of relevant experience. No prior experience required for the right candidate with a strong willingness to learn.

• Good knowledge of Civil, Mechanical, Electrical (CME) works, cabling practices, RF cellular is an advantage.

• Willing to work on-site, including at train/transit and construction environments, and to work at height where required (with proper training and PPE).

• Able to read and follow technical drawings and instructions.

• Good team player, responsible, and eager to learn and take ownership over time. Willing to work night Shift.
