About the Company
Grass365 is a growing turf installation company serving residential and commercial clients throughout the Denver metro area. Our mission is simple: we create spaces where families can create memories. We take pride in quality work, strong customer relationships, and a team that takes ownership of what it does.
We're in an exciting growth phase and looking for a Field Operations Manager to join our fun and hardworking team!
About the Role
We are looking for a Field Operations Manager to own everything it takes to get our installations in the ground to deliver the high quality, high impact installations we are known for. You will manage our crews, jobs, quality, and logistics.
This is a hands-on leadership role, not a desk job. You will spend your time on job sites, in our warehouse, and in front of customers. You report to the General Manager and work closely with ownership, with real authority to make decisions as the company grows.
What You’ll Be Responsible For
Crews and Quality
- Lead and manage our installation crews
- Set clear expectations and hold crews accountable to our standards
- Inspect work on site and catch problems before they turn into callbacks
- Make sure every job finishes on time, on budget, and to our quality standards
Materials, Warehouse, and Equipment
- Own our warehouse upkeep, including gear, supplies, and materials
- Make sure crews have what they need on site, including material deliveries so crews can stay on the job
- Keep equipment and maintenance schedules on track
Customers
- Be a polished, professional face of Grass365 with customers on site
- Handle customer questions and concerns during installation and resolve issues quickly
Working With the Office
- Our office handles scheduling. You keep it informed of delays, weather, and changes in the field so schedules are adjusted quickly
- Work closely with our Office Coordinator and General Manager
Authority and Team
- Hire, train, and develop crew members, with input from the General Manager and ownership
- Jump in on the job when needed
- Use Jobber, Ramp, ArcSite, and Google Workspace day to day. We will train you on our tools
What Success Looks Like
- Quality callbacks are rare or nonexistent
- Jobs finish on time and on budget
- Customers praise our crews and our installations
- The General Manager spends less than 5 hours a week on field management
- Crews are stable, reliable, and take pride in their work
- Our installations keep pace with our growth without any drop in quality
What We Are Looking For
- 5+ years managing crews and projects on site
- Hands-on experience in turf, hardscape, or construction. Exceptional candidates from related fields may be considered
- Confident, polished, and comfortable leading customer conversations
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Organized, dependable, and accountable
- Comfortable with technology and computers (we will train you on Jobber, Ramp, and ArcSite, and other tools)
- Able to do physical work on job sites and in the warehouse when needed
- Valid driver's license and ability to drive the company vehicle and travel locally
Schedule, Compensation, and Benefits
Schedule: Core hours are roughly 8 AM to 5 PM most days, and we trust you to manage your own schedule. When a job gets messy and you need to be on site, expect some evenings or Saturdays. Our busy season runs heavier, and winter is lighter, typically under 40 hours per week.
Compensation: $75,000 to $90,000 per year base salary, depending on experience.
Benefits: Paid time off and a company vehicle for work use.
Growth Opportunity
This role offers a competitive base salary with performance-based incentives tied directly to company results.
For the right person, this role offers significant long-term upside, increased responsibility, and the opportunity to grow into a senior leadership position as the business expands.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
