Field Manager

Looking for a Field Manager with at least one year of experience in residential property management in New York City.

Current opening requiring oversight and support across New York City, including Queens, Brooklyn, and Manhattan.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Daily inspection of properties
• Maintaining property by investigating and resolving tenant complaints
• Inspecting vacant units and completing repairs
• Planning and managing renovations
• Maintaining building systems by contracting for maintenance services
• Being on call for emergencies, especially overnight and on weekends
• Managing supers, repairs, and construction
• Tracking construction progress and approving progress payments
• Ensuring compliance with Section 8, HUD, DOB, and HPD requirements
• Inspecting apartments prior to tenant move in and after tenant move out
• Showing units to prospective tenants
• Collecting rents including knocking on doors
• Managing HPD Violation removal
• Preparing for REAC inspections
• Being present for and assisting with evictions
• Approving payment of bills
• Assisting in preparation of annual budget; analyzing variances; initiating corrective action
• Enforcing occupancy policies and procedures by confronting violators
• Preparing building reports

The successful candidate will:

• Be proactive and highly motivated, with the ability to work independently, collaborate as a team, and effectively manage multiple tasks
• Have excellent communications and resident relations skills
• Have supervisory experience
• Have a minimum of three years’ experience in Property Management in New York City
• Have a working knowledge of HPD, DHCR, DOB and ECB regulations
• Be familiar with construction and building systems including boilers, electrical, and plumbing
• Be detail oriented
• Be proficient in MS Office with the ability to learn and use web-based property management software. Experience with Yardi Voyager a plus.
• Bilingual (English & Spanish)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
