Field Marketer

Job summary

We are opening up our business-to-business trade, and we need people who already know their way around commercial kitchens. You will be on the road meeting chefs, kitchen managers, hotel procurement officers and caterers — turning conversations into trial orders, and trial orders into standing weekly supply.

Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

• Identify and visit hotels, restaurants, cafés and catering businesses across your territory
• Open conversations with chefs, kitchen managers and procurement officers about what FnV supplies
• Convert interest into trial orders, and trial orders into standing weekly supply
• Agree volumes and delivery schedules our kitchen can genuinely meet
• Keep clear daily records of every visit, conversation and order
• Stay with the relationship after the first delivery — this is repeat business, not one-off selling

Requirements:

• You have sold into or worked in the hotel, restaurant, café or catering trade before
• You already know chefs, kitchen managers, procurement officers or event caterers in your area
• You are comfortable walking into a kitchen and starting a conversation
• A "no" does not put you off the next call
• You promise only what can actually be delivered
• You keep your own records

What you will need:

• Based in or around the territory you are applying for, and able to move around it
• Previous field sales, distribution, or hotel and catering trade experience
• A smartphone, and the discipline to log visits and orders daily Senior secondary school certificate as a minimum

How you will be paid:

• This role is commission-led. You earn a percentage of the value of every order you bring in, paid weekly, with a transport allowance on top
• What you earn is tied to what you sell, and there is no ceiling on it.
