Job Summary

Layots Technologies is looking for an experienced Team Lead – Field Network Support to lead our field network support team and manage network deployment, troubleshooting, maintenance, and customer support activities.

The ideal candidate should have strong networking knowledge, hands-on experience in field support, proven team-handling capability, and excellent client communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Management

• Lead and manage a team of Field Network Support Engineers.
• Allocate engineers to customer sites based on business and support requirements.
• Monitor team productivity, performance, attendance, and SLA adherence.
• Provide technical guidance and mentoring to team members.
• Conduct regular team reviews and ensure timely completion of assigned activities.
• Handle technical and operational escalations from field engineers.

Network & Technical Support

• Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity and infrastructure issues.
• Configure and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, access points, and wireless networks.
• Handle LAN/WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, routing, and switching issues.
• Manage network installation, configuration, deployment, and maintenance activities.
• Provide L2/L3 technical support for complex network issues.
• Perform preventive maintenance and network health checks.
• Ensure proper documentation of network configurations, incidents, and resolutions.

Client & Field Support

• Coordinate with customers for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and support activities.
• Act as the technical escalation point for customer issues.
• Ensure engineers attend customer sites within agreed SLA timelines.
• Manage multiple field activities and prioritize critical incidents.
• Coordinate with vendors and OEM support teams whenever required.
• Prepare and review service reports and technical documentation.

SLA & Service Management

• Ensure adherence to customer SLA and resolution timelines.
• Monitor open incidents and follow up until closure.
• Escalate critical issues to management with appropriate updates.
• Identify recurring network problems and recommend corrective actions.
• Maintain a high level of customer satisfaction and service quality.

Required Skills

• 5–8 years of experience in Network Support / Network Infrastructure.
• Team handling experience is mandatory.
• Strong hands-on experience in field network support.
• Good knowledge of Routing & Switching.
• Experience with Cisco / Aruba / Fortinet / Sophos or similar technologies.
• Strong understanding of LAN/WAN, VLAN, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, and VPN.
• Knowledge of firewall and wireless network troubleshooting.
• Experience in network installation, configuration, and maintenance.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Strong customer handling and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple field engineers and customer locations.
• Willingness to travel to client locations as required.

Preferred Certifications

• CCNA
• Fortinet certification
• Aruba certification
• Other relevant networking certifications
