What they need

Job Title: Field Operating Manager

Department: External Operations

Reports to: Director of Field Interim Operations

Location: Remote, with heavy travel across North America

Benefits: Health, vision and dental insurance; phone stipend; PTO

What We Do:

Cornerstone Caregiving helps seniors age in place, in the setting and manner they choose. We believe seniors deserve to age in a healthy, dignified environment. With 450+ locations across the U.S. and Canada, we are committed to giving the highest quality of care to those who cared for us.

Job Description:

The Field Operating Manager (FOM) gets vacant offices ready for their next Operating Director. When an OD leaves, the FOM steps in as the direct supervisor for that office's team and keeps the office running until a new OD goes through training and takes over. The FOM will oversee 6-12 vacant office teams at a time. Much of the role is spent on the road, visiting offices in person to train managers, track down company property, check on the office and car, and write up what they find. Between visits, the FOM supports these teams remotely.

Job Responsibilities:

Office Visits

● Complete 1-3 in-person office visits per week, traveling mostly by air with some driving between offices.

● Give hands-on training to office managers so the office is ready for the next OD.

● Locate and account for company laptops, keys and other Cornerstone property.

● Check the condition of the office and the Cornerstone car, and arrange cleaning, detailing or repairs as needed.

● Tidy the office, and get rid of or donate items that are no longer used.

● Audit client and caregiver paperwork and make sure it is complete and scanned in.

Managing Vacant Offices

● Act as direct supervisor for 6-12 vacant office manager teams until a new OD goes through BOG.

● Hold regular check-ins with each office team, coach managers, and address performance issues when needed.

● Keep client care and caregiver support steady while the office has no OD.

● Make sure offices follow state regulations, company policies and procedures, and payer requirements (including Medicaid and VA where they apply).

● Step in to help with scheduling in AxisCare, caregiver recruiting and client concerns when an office team needs support.

Documentation and Handoff

● Document findings from every office visit using the standard visit forms.

● Keep office status up to date for Home Base, including the state of the office, car, equipment, paperwork and community partner relationships.

● Prepare a clear handoff for each incoming OD so they know where the office stands on day one.

● Work with the recruiting and talent teams to share what each office needs in its next OD.

● Work closely with the current FOM and other Home Base departments to keep visits, coverage and

communication on track.

Qualifications:

● Experience supervising or coaching office staff.

● Willing and able to travel 1-3 times per week, including frequent air travel and overnight stays.

● Valid driver's license and a clean driving record.

● Strong organization skills and the ability to manage several offices at once.

● Clear written and verbal communication, including detailed visit reports.

● Able to work on your own and as part of a team.

● Comfortable with computers, Google Workspace and learning new systems.

● 2+ years of experience in home care, healthcare operations or multi-site management preferred.

● Experience with home care software such as AxisCare preferred.

● Experience in a similar field rolepreferred.

● Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, business or a related field preferred.

Physical Requirements:

● Long periods of travel, including flights and driving.

● Able to lift up to 25 pounds (for example, moving office items or equipment).

● Long periods of sitting and computer work.
