Role Overview

We are looking for a empathetic, motivated, and field-ready Patient Counselor to join our community outreach initiatives in and around Dehradun. In this role, you will interact directly with patients during vision screening camps, counsel individuals on eye care hygiene and vision correction, and facilitate the adoption of prescription glasses to impact community health outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Patient Counseling & Awareness: Educate community members, school children, and families on eye health, refractive errors, and the importance of timely vision correction.
• Field Camp Operations: Assist in setting up and managing on-ground vision screening camps across local neighborhoods, rural/semi-urban areas, and community hubs in Dehradun.
• Patient Guidance & Conversion: Walk patients through their prescription results, explain the benefits of wearing corrective lenses, and assist them in selecting appropriate eyewear.
• Data Management & Documentation: Accurately collect and record patient details, screening results, and distribution logs manually or on foundation software/apps.
• Community Engagement: Coordinate with local community leaders, NGOs, schools, and local authorities to ensure high attendance and smooth execution of field camps.
• Follow-ups & Care: Perform post-screening follow-ups with patients regarding glass distribution, usage, and overall satisfaction.

Key Requirements & Qualifications

• Education: Graduate/Diploma in Social Work (BSW/MSW), Healthcare Management, Communications, or related fields. High school graduates with relevant field experience are also welcome to apply.
• Experience: 0–3 years of experience in community outreach, field counseling, NGO operations, or healthcare sales/awareness drives.
• Location & Travel: Must be based in or willing to travel extensively within Dehradun and surrounding local districts for daily field assignments.
• Languages: Proficiency in Hindi and local dialects is required; basic understanding of English is a plus.
• Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and persuasive communication skills.
• Deep empathy and patient-centric attitude.
• Basic computer/smartphone proficiency for digital data entry.
• Self-starter attitude capable of working effectively in high-volume, outdoor field environments.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Number of patients counseled daily/weekly at screening camps.
• Patient conversion rate for vision correction solutions (eyewear adoption).
• Accurate and timely submission of field data and screening logs.
• Smooth administrative execution of local vision camps.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
