FIELD OPERATIONS MANAGER

West Texas / Southeast New Mexico

POSITION OVERVIEW

We are seeking an experienced Field Operations Manager to oversee construction operations throughout the West Texas and Southeast New Mexico energy market.

This is a key leadership position responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple projects while ensuring projects are executed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with client expectations. The Area Operations Manager will provide leadership to project and field teams while working closely with senior management, clients, and other stakeholders.

The ideal candidate will be a proven operations leader with a strong background in industrial construction, oil & gas, pipeline, facilities, energy infrastructure, or related construction services.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide overall operational leadership for projects and field activities within the assigned geographic area.
• Oversee multiple projects and ensure successful execution from mobilization through completion.
• Provide leadership and direction to Project Managers, Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel.
• Monitor project performance, schedules, manpower requirements, productivity, and overall execution.
• Ensure projects are staffed appropriately and that manpower and equipment resources are effectively utilized.
• Work closely with project management and field leadership to identify and resolve operational challenges.
• Maintain strong relationships with clients and serve as a senior point of contact for operational matters.
• Monitor project costs, productivity, schedules, and performance against established goals.
• Participate in project planning, estimating reviews, staffing decisions, and operational strategy.
• Ensure company policies, procedures, and quality standards are consistently followed.
• Maintain a strong focus on safety and ensure field operations meet company and client safety requirements.
• Identify opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency, profitability, and customer satisfaction.
• Assist with business development and client relationship management within the assigned market.
• Support recruitment, development, retention, and performance management of field and project personnel.
• Coordinate resources across multiple projects and assist with resolving manpower and equipment conflicts.
• Communicate operational performance, challenges, and opportunities to senior leadership.

IDEAL CANDIDATE

• Significant experience in industrial construction or energy-related construction.
• Proven leadership experience overseeing multiple projects, crews, or field operations.
• Experience in oil & gas, pipeline, facilities, mechanical, electrical/instrumentation, or related energy infrastructure strongly preferred.
• Strong understanding of construction project execution, manpower planning, scheduling, productivity, and cost control.
• Demonstrated ability to lead Project Managers, Superintendents, and field personnel.
• Strong client-facing and communication skills.
• Ability to make sound operational decisions and resolve issues in a fast-paced construction environment.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.
• Willingness to travel throughout the assigned operating area as required.

LOCATION REQUIREMENT

Candidates must currently reside in the area or be willing to relocate. This position is intended for someone who will be based in the local operating market.
