Field Project Assistant

44North Tech | Full Time | GTA Field Based
$19 to $21/hour

44North Tech is looking for a reliable, hands on and technically inclined individual to join our growing project team.

This is a field based role supporting technology projects at customer sites throughout the GTA. You will work across a variety of projects involving RFID, access control, WiFi, networking, IoT devices and other connected technologies.

No previous industry experience is required. We are looking for someone dependable, practical, comfortable with technology and interested in building a long term career with 44North Tech.

What You'll Do

• Work onsite supporting RFID, access control, WiFi, networking and IoT projects
• Assist with site surveys, equipment placement and project preparation
• Help install, configure, test and commission technology equipment and devices
• Troubleshoot basic equipment, connectivity and installation issues
• Work alongside technicians, electricians, cabling contractors, IT teams and customer representatives
• Help coordinate activities onsite and follow outstanding items through completion
• Take site photographs, record equipment details and maintain project documentation
• Verify equipment and installations before project handover
• Represent 44North professionally at customer sites

Who We're Looking For

• Reliable, hardworking and willing to take ownership of assigned work
• Hands on and technically inclined
• Comfortable with computers, mobile devices and electronic equipment
• Able to learn new systems and figure things out
• Organized with good attention to detail
• Professional and comfortable communicating with customers and contractors
• High school education, college, technical training or equivalent practical experience
• Previous experience in IT, construction, electrical work, cabling, security systems, networking or other hands on work is an advantage, but not required
• Entry level candidates and recent graduates are welcome
• Valid driver's licence and reliable access to a vehicle required
• Must be able to travel reliably to customer sites throughout the GTA

Work Arrangement

This is a full time hourly position. Work is primarily performed at customer sites throughout the GTA. When site work is not scheduled, work may include project preparation, equipment configuration, documentation, training and other project support activities.

Growth

Training will be provided on the technologies and systems we deploy. As experience and capability grow, there will be opportunities to take on greater responsibility across field operations, technical deployments and project coordination.

Pay: $19.10-$21.10 per hour

Expected hours: 10.0 – 40.0 per week
