Role Description The Field Project Manager is a full-time, hybrid role based in Ashland, VA, with some flexibility for work from home. This role oversees laboratory construction and renovation projects from planning through completion, coordinating schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing field activities, supervising subcontractors and installation teams, conducting site visits, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Field Project Manager serves as a primary point of contact for clients, addressing project requirements, resolving issues, and maintaining a high level of customer satisfaction. The role also involves preparing project documentation, tracking costs, and collaborating with internal teams to support continuous improvement in project execution.

Qualifications

• Strong Communication and Customer Service skills to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and project teams.
• Demonstrated Supervisory Skills and experience leading field crews or subcontractors on construction or installation projects.
• Ability to manage Budgeting and cost control activities, including estimating, tracking, and reporting project expenses.
• Focus on Customer Satisfaction, with a track record of delivering projects that meet or exceed client expectations.
• Experience in construction, laboratory installation, or related technical project management is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in project management tools and basic office software (e.g., MS Project, Excel, Word).
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant education or certification in project management, construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
• Ability to travel to project sites as needed and work safely in active construction or laboratory environments.
