Field QAQC Engineer Mechanical Welding

• Oversee and execute comprehensive mechanical welding quality control inspections, ensuring adherence to project specifications and international standards.
• Conduct thorough visual inspections of welds, verifying dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and absence of defects.
• Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) such as Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), Dye Penetrant Testing (DPT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT) to assess weld integrity.
• Review and approve welding procedures (WPS) and welder qualifications (PQR/WPQ) to ensure they meet project requirements and industry best practices.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in field quality assurance and control for mechanical welding projects.
• Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) from the American Welding Society (AWS) or equivalent international certification.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings, welding symbols, and relevant international codes (e.g., ASME, API, EN).
