Field Reliability Engineer

About the role

Lead and execute alignment and condition monitoring projects including laser shaft alignment, vibration analysis, motor condition assessment, thermal inspection, and other rotating equipment diagnostic activities. Assess customer applications, identify maintenance and reliability issues, and recommend suitable services, technical solutions, and products. Develop strong technical knowledge of shaft alignment, soft foot, thermal growth, machine movement, motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, vibration, and condition monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, execute, and lead laser shaft alignment, vibration analysis, motor condition assessment, thermal inspection, and other rotating equipment diagnostic activities
• Assess customer applications, identify maintenance and reliability issues, and recommend suitable services, technical solutions, and products
• Prepare technical recommendations, scope of work, service proposals, and project requirements based on customer consultation
• Coordinate field activities, troubleshoot technical issues, verify final alignment results, and prepare professional technical reports and recommendations
• Deliver product training, technical presentations, workshops, demonstrations, and knowledge-sharing sessions for customers, sales teams, and internal stakeholders

About you

• Minimum D3/Vocational Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or another relevant engineering discipline
• Minimum 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in rotating equipment maintenance, alignment, condition monitoring, or field services is preferred
• Strong understanding of rotating equipment, particularly motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, couplings, and drive systems
• Good knowledge of shaft alignment principles, including angular and offset misalignment, soft foot, alignment tolerance, machine movement, and thermal growth
• Hands-on capability with laser alignment, vibration, thermal imaging, measurement, diagnostic, and maintenance tools
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify root causes and recommend practical corrective actions
• Able to plan and lead alignment projects, coordinate field activities, communicate with customers, and prepare technical reports
• Good communication and presentation skills, including technical demonstrations and customer training
• Fluent in Bahasa Indonesia and good working proficiency in English, both written and oral
• Willing to travel and work at industrial customer sites
