Job Title: Field Research Assistant
Location: Johnston, IA 50131
Duration: 12 Months Contract (Extendable)
Shift Timing: Mon-Fri 8 am-4:30 pm
Pay Rate: $22/hr
Job Description:
With guidance from the supervisor and following established protocols and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), the technical assistant will perform a wide range of tasks in laboratory and field or greenhouse settings supporting the regulatory science research program.
Key Responsibilities:
- They will ensure quality and integrity of samples and data.
- Assist with day-to-day sample processing operations, including:
- Sample receipt, Lyophilization, Grinding, Weighing, Distribution, Inventory, Retention
- Support seed lot inventory, preparation for characterization and distribution activities, including:
- Seed receipt, Inventory, Sub-sampling, Cleaning, Treating, Packet printing, Filling, Scanning, Devitalizing, Grinding, Shipping, Sample retention, Discard, Support other team needs, including greenhouse and field data and sample collection.
Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40.0 per week
