Field Safety Coordinator

Job Summary:
The Field Safety Coordinator is responsible for field-level safety activities across construction sites, shop operations, and transportation yards. This position focuses on training, inspections, hazard identification, and employee engagement to proactively prevent accidents and injuries.

Position Details:

• Conduct new employee safety orientation for drivers, laborers, operators, and field personnel.
• Deliver toolbox talks, tailgate meetings, and safety awareness programs.
• Coordinate required equipment and site-specific training.
• Maintain training schedules and facilitate hands-on safety instruction.
• Conduct routine construction site and yard inspections.
• Evaluate PPE compliance and safe work practices.
• Perform equipment safety checks and document findings.
• Monitor contractor compliance with company safety standards.
• Conduct job hazard analyses (JHAs) and pre-task planning reviews.
• Identify unsafe conditions and behaviors in the field.
• Recommend corrective measures to supervisors and managers.
• Monitor implementation of corrective actions.
• Participate in safety committee meetings.
• Promote employee involvement in safety programs.
• Recognize positive safety performance and engagement.
• Assist with safety campaigns and awareness events.
• Coordinate emergency drills and site evacuation exercises.
• Inspect emergency equipment and first-aid supplies.
• Support incident response activities when required.

Required Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associate degree in Safety, Construction Management, or related field preferred.
• OSHA 30 preferred.
• 2+ years of construction, transportation, or safety experience.
• Strong training and communication skills.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
