What they need
About TradePath / MVVI
Mountain View Vocational Institute (A TradePath Company) trains people for skilled trade careers, including heavy equipment operation, mobile crane operation, and commercial driving. We have campuses in El Paso, Texas, and Alamogordo, New Mexico, and we also run on-site classes close to where our students live and work. Much of our work is done with partners: workforce agencies, job centers, tribal workforce programs, corrections agencies, colleges and employers who help fund training and hire our graduates.
About the role
This is a field job. You will be our face in the communities we serve: meeting funding agencies and job centers, building partnerships, and then making sure the classes those partnerships create actually happen, on time and in the right place.
It is not a pure sales job. About 60% of your time goes to building partnerships and bringing in funded students. The other 40% goes to running the logistics of on-site classes. The right person enjoys both, and knows that a partnership is only as good as the class that follows it.
What you will do
Partnerships and growth (about 60%)
- Build and keep strong relationships with local workforce boards, job centers, tribal workforce programs, corrections agencies, community colleges and employers.
- Find funding for students, such as Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) funds and tribal or agency programs, and help case managers and students through the paperwork.
- Turn first meetings into signed agreements and scheduled classes.
- Present MVVI programs at partner offices, job fairs and community events.
- Keep our partner records up to date and report weekly on your pipeline and enrollments.
Field operations (about 40%)
- Plan and set up on-site classes: training sites, dates, equipment delivery, and instructor travel and lodging.
- Be our point of contact on the ground during classes, and solve problems as they come up.
- Collect enrollment paperwork, attendance records and the documents that funders and facilities require.
- Track student results, including completions, credentials earned and job placements, and report them back to partners.
- Work closely with our Head of Operations and instructors so that every class runs smoothly.
What success looks like
- First 90 days: You know our programs and funding process well, you have met our key partners in New Mexico, and you have helped deliver at least one on-site class from start to finish.
- First year: You are bringing in new funded students and new partners on a steady basis, and the classes you set up start on time with complete paperwork.
What you bring
Required
- At least three years in field sales, partnerships, workforce development, program coordination or a similar role.
- A valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass a background check. This is required to work inside corrections facilities.
- Willingness to travel often, including overnight stays.
- Strong organization and follow-through. You manage many partners, dates and details at once.
- Comfort with email, spreadsheets and a customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Preferred
- Working knowledge of WIOA, local workforce boards, job centers and Eligible Training Provider Lists.
- Experience working with tribal communities, corrections agencies or public agencies.
- A background in construction, heavy equipment, trucking or another skilled trade.
A college degree is not required. We care about what you have done, not where you went to school.
What we offer
- Base salary of $60,000 to $72,000, depending on experience.
- A performance bonus tied to new funded students, new partner agreements and classes delivered.
- A monthly car allowance.
- Travel expenses covered, including lodging and meals on overnight trips.
- Paid time off.
- A company phone and laptop.
- Full training on our programs, our funding process, and our partner network.
