Field Sales Engineer - Richmond, VA

For our client, we are seeking a Field Sales Engineer - Richmond, VA to join the team of a leader in the Information Technology space.

This role will support technical sales efforts across a designated business area, partnering closely with Regional Sales Managers to advance pre- and post-sales opportunities. The position blends customer-facing technical consultation with solution design, project coordination, and on-site problem solving. It is well suited for someone who can translate networking and video-related expertise into strong customer outcomes and business growth.

Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Compensation: $110,000 – $125,000 annually

Responsibilities

• Support sales growth initiatives in the designated business area
• Assist Regional Sales Managers with pre- and post-sales opportunities
• Prepare technical sales support materials
• Develop system design recommendations
• Manage projects and maintenance initiatives
• Present training seminars both on-site and via webinars
• Coordinate proof of concept and trial installations
• Troubleshoot and provide on-site solutions
• Collaborate with Regional Sales Managers and sales support teams
• Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Systems, or equivalent experience
• 4+ years of experience in networking and/or video-related systems, preferably in a customer-facing role
• Strong networking knowledge, including TCP/IP, RESTful, infrastructure, and troubleshooting
• Proven record of positive customer interactions
• Excellent verbal communication and listening skills
• Strong technical writing skills, particularly for manuals and instructions
• Design documentation skills for video, audio, and network topologies
