Field Sales Officer

Job summary

We are looking for energetic, goal-oriented, and customer-focused Credit Sales Officers to join our growing team. This is a field-based sales role responsible for identifying traders, entrepreneurs, and small business owners who require business loans.

Responsibilities:

• Generate quality leads, follow up on prospects, and convert them into active clients.
• Conduct field visits, business assessments, and customer verification to evaluate creditworthiness.
• Present credit recommendations to the credit committee for approval.
• Maintain strong customer relationships and provide excellent post-disbursement support.
• Rendition of periodic activity reports.
• Analyze market trends and advise accordingly as part of product improvement.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, business administration, marketing, or a related field.
• A minimum of 2–3 years of experience in credit sales, micro-lending, or financial services is mandatory.
• Strong sales and marketing skills with a proven ability to meet or exceed targets.
• Good understanding of credit risk assessment and loan documentation.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Ability to work under pressure and in a performance-driven environment.
• Familiarity with the local market and customer segments is an added advantage.
• Strong, persuasive, and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent time management skills and the ability to prioritize work.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have completed NYSC.
