Field Sales Representative - Fasteners

About us

Sharp Fasteners imports and wholesales fasteners, fixings and related hardware from our warehouse at Eastern Creek, with a focus on steel construction - structural bolts, purlins and hold downs. Certification and compliance to Australian standards sit behind what we sell.

Our customers are fastener distributors, trade businesses buying in wholesale quantities, and industrial and construction resellers across NSW. Warehouse, dispatch and customer support all operate from Eastern Creek, with a stocked range and more landing through the year.

You deal directly with the people who make the decisions. No layers, no head office in another state.

What you will do

• Open new accounts across trade, construction and industrial customers. This is the core of the job, not an addition to it
• Grow the accounts you hold
• Travel across NSW to do it, including overnight stays
• Get new accounts trading and train them on our online ordering platform
• Work with the Eastern Creek team on pricing, quoting, stock availability and delivery
• Run your own diary and your own pipeline, and keep the CRM accurate
• Tell us what to stock next, based on what your customers are asking for

What we need from you

• B2B field sales experience in trade, hardware, industrial or construction products
• A record of opening new accounts from cold, with numbers you can talk to
• Practical product knowledge: matching fasteners to the job, and a working understanding of coatings and classes. Standards and specifications can be trained
• A current Australian driver's licence and your own vehicle
• Availability to travel across NSW, including overnight
• The discipline to run a territory without supervision

Fastener industry experience is not required. Existing relationships with NSW trade, construction or distribution customers are what put you at the top of the salary band.

• $80,000 to $90,000 base plus super, depending on experience and the customer relationships you bring
• Uncapped commission, paid on the accounts you open and on growth in the accounts you hold

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
