Field Service Engineer

About the role

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for providing on-site technical support, maintenance, and repair services for medical equipment. This role ensures that equipment is functioning optimally and complies with safety and regulatory standards. The engineer also supports 4PL-related field activities and collaborates with internal teams to deliver high-quality service to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Perform on-site installation, maintenance, and repair of medical equipment
• Respond to service calls and resolve technical issues efficiently
• Conduct preventive maintenance according to schedule
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
• Document service activities and submit reports promptly
• Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams for 4PL-related field tasks
• Provide technical support and training to clients as needed
• Maintain tools, test equipment, and spare parts inventory
• Participate in continuous improvement and training programs

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical fields
• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in servicing medical devices or biomedical equipment preferred
• Fresh graduates with a strong internship background and technical aptitude may be considered
• Comprehensive understanding of medical equipment design, function, calibration, and regulatory standards
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, mechanical, and software systems used in diagnostic and therapeutic devices
• Familiarity with hospital protocols, cleanroom/sterile environments, and patient safety regulations
• Advanced diagnostic and technical troubleshooting skills
• Effective in reading technical schematics, service manuals, and wiring diagrams
• Competency in using electronic test instruments, power tools, and calibration software
• Strong report writing, documentation, and organizational skills
