Field Service Engineer

As a Field Service Engineer, you will provide remote and on-site technical support, carry out installations and maintenance, and deliver practical customer training. We are looking for a proactive engineer who combines strong FIB expertise with a genuine commitment to service quality and customer satisfaction. What You’ll Do

• Respond to customer service requests by phone and email, assess technical issues, and provide effective remote support using TeamViewer whenever possible.
• Perform on-site installation, warranty, maintenance, and billable service activities according to customer needs and service priorities.
• Diagnose and resolve technical issues involving TESCAN systems, escalating complex cases when additional support is required.
• Record service calls and customer visits accurately in the service management system, ensuring all relevant information is complete and up to date.
• Coordinate with internal teams on quotations, service costs, visit scheduling, and other customer support requirements.
• Prepare return merchandise authorization documentation and coordinate the return of replacement or defective parts.
• Deliver customer operation training following W-SEM and FE-SEM installations and support training activities for FIB systems in cooperation with application specialists.
• Complete assigned service activities on time while maintaining high standards of quality, safety, and customer care. What You’ll Bring
• At least one year of hands-on experience working with focused ion beam (FIB) systems.
• Strong technical aptitude and a practical, structured approach to troubleshooting.
• The ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with colleagues across service, applications, administration, and other functions.
• Clear communication skills and the confidence to support and train customers.
• A positive, proactive, and adaptable approach to changing priorities and technical challenges.
• A strong commitment to quality, reliability, and personal accountability.
