Field Service Engineer (Full-Time, On-Site | Singapore)

What you will do

The service technician will perform local service and support, customer engagement, cross-functional Collaboration with global team.

• Provide timely response to customers inquiries of TOFWERK’s products.
• Keep TOFWERK products at customers’ site operating and reach max up-time
• Document instrument logs, issues and repair history
• Update and maintain the inventory list at local hub
• Coordinate closely with the global support team and market team, and application teams for customers feedbacks, suggestions, as well as complicated troubleshooting.
• Ensure the TOFWERK product performance consistently to meet customer’s operational standards and expectations.
• Adopt the best practices, experiences, and expertise from TOFWERK’s global service team to ensure regional consistency

Responsibilities will include

• Participate in an after-sales service hotline rotation to receive and respond customer inquiries
• Regular visits customers’ sites to check for instrument performance on daily basis
• Troubleshoot and fix the instrument and software issues following standard workflows
• Schedule and carry out preventative maintenance on TOFWERK’s products
• Report and Coordinate with TOFWERK AG’s support team for complicated issues.
• Summarize and submit regular reports and repair reports to customers.
• Maintain and update the inventory of spare parts in local hub.

What you bring along:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Physics/Chemistry/Instrumentation, Analytical Sciences, or related engineering discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in sales of analytical instruments (preferably time of flight Mass Spectrometry).
• Experience with air quality monitoring and semiconductor gas monitoring customer base would be plus.
• Experience with onsite customer service and support.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills in English; Chinese and any other regional language skills are a plus.
• High level of self-motivation, ownership, and willingness to travel.
