Field Service Engineer

Objective

Responsible for providing technical field assistance in promoting spare part sales, maintenance, operation, equipment installation supervision and startup and/or shutdowns for all CPM process-es. The incumbent must have strong business and communications skills to establish and main-tain strong relationships with the customer. Analytical and problem-solving skills are just as es-sential to this position.

Job Description

• Promoting aftermarkets/replacement spare parts or services for existing and potential new customers

• Identify customer's needs and sales opportunities to help future growth

• Provide technical field assistance in maintenance, installation, operation, and startup for CPM equipment; prepare customer field report after each trip.

• Perform inspections of existing CPM equipment during plant shutdowns, assist plant/contractors with recommended repairs/parts and provide each customer with a field report.

• Evaluate fabricated product when asked; prepare non-conformance report when neces-sary and work with internal and external customers to resolve issues.

• Provide technical training or maintenance presentations to relevant customer and re-sponsible for tracking customer claim.

• Work integrally with internal employees and external customers to promote the CPM Af-termarket service, to meet group initiatives and objectives.

• Assist contractors in the erection of CPM equipment at customer site.

• Participate in company meetings in order to increase communication, understanding, and teamwork.

• Cross train with engineers/technicians to learn technical processing information.

• Observe all customer and OSHA safety rules.

• Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Is required at the:

• discuss with agents and customers the customer's requirements and the technical specifications of the CPM machines and recommended technical solution,

• consult with the Account Manager to discuss the customers/agent in order to visit and commercially work an area or a number of end customers as efficiently as possible.

• Establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers, customers, and vendors.
