Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for executing, supervising, and coordinating service, maintenance, installation, and commissioning activities for industrial equipment across customer sites within the APAC region. The role combines hands-on technical expertise with project supervision, customer engagement, and continuous improvement of service operations while ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform installation, commissioning, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of industrial equipment at customer sites.
• Supervise assembly and service activities to ensure quality, safety, and compliance with technical specifications.
• Coordinate and provide technical guidance to technicians and support teams during field assignments.
• Prepare service reports, work documentation, inspection records, and travel-related documentation.
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance service efficiency and reduce operational costs.
• Serve as the primary point of contact between customers and internal stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements and promote a strong safety culture on-site.

Requirements

• Diploma or bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical discipline.
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair skills.
• Experience in commissioning, servicing, and maintaining industrial equipment.
• Ability to work independently at customer sites and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and customer service skills.
• Experience leading technicians or coordinating field service activities is an advantage.
• Willingness to travel extensively within the APAC region.
• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and continuous improvement.
