Field Service Engineer

About the role

The Field Service Engineer is responsible for installation support, testing & commissioning, troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance, and after-sales service for mechanical and cooling systems at customer and project sites. The position will mainly support HVAC and cooling equipment used in commercial buildings and data center environments.

Key responsibilities

• Perform installation support, testing, commissioning, start-up, troubleshooting, and maintenance of mechanical and cooling equipment.
• Provide on-site technical service and support to customers and project teams.
• Conduct preventive and corrective maintenance according to maintenance schedules and equipment requirements.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical control, and equipment performance issues and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Support HVAC and cooling systems such as AHU, OAU, FCU, CRAH, chilled water systems, pumps, fans, and related equipment.
• Inspect equipment condition and identify potential technical problems before failure occurs.
• Coordinate with customers, contractors, suppliers, project teams, and internal departments during installation and service activities.
• Prepare service reports, inspection reports, commissioning records, and maintenance documentation.
• Provide technical explanations and basic equipment operation guidance to customers when required.
• Follow company safety requirements and site safety regulations at all times.

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience in HVAC, air-conditioning systems, mechanical equipment, installation, commissioning, maintenance, or after-sales service is preferred.
• Experience with AHU, OAU, FCU, CRAH, chilled water systems, or cooling equipment will be an advantage.
• Fresh graduates or junior engineers with a strong mechanical background and willingness to learn may also be considered.
• Basic knowledge of electrical controls, sensors, motors, and control systems is an advantage.
• Able to read mechanical drawings, equipment manuals, and technical documentation.
• Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Service-minded, responsible, and able to communicate effectively with customers and project teams.
• Able to work independently and perform work at customer/project sites.
• Basic English communication and technical reading skills are preferred.
