Field Service Engineer

This is a remote, field-based position, and candidates may reside anywhere within the United States. However, the 4JET Laser Technologies Atlanta office serves as the primary U.S. hub, and employees must be willing and able to report to the Atlanta office when required. Extensive Domestic & International Travel Required

• Must be willing and able to travel approximately 80% of the time
• Must have a valid passport
• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally
• Must be available to travel to Germany for approximately six (6) weeks of required initial training
• Must be willing and able to report to the Atlanta, Georgia office when required

You do not have to live in Atlanta. This is a remote, field-based position; however, Atlanta is the company's U.S. hub for this role

Duties

• Travel to customer sites (average about 80% travel national or international)
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair units in the field
• Installation and setup of new machines
• Conduct trainings on preventive maintenance, safety regulations, and operation of machines
• Provide general customer service on the phone (on-call emergency service) and in person
• Administrative tasks e.g. maintaining records of service calls, trainings, and expenses

Experience

• Laser process or systems knowledge is beneficial, but not a must
• Degree in electrical/mechanical engineering or equivalent work experience is beneficial
• Strong analytical, fault isolation and problem-solving skills
• Computer and PLC experience
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
• Set a high standard of ethics, professionalism, and competency
• Knowledge of English language (written and verbal), Spanish or German language skills are a plus
• Must be willing and able to travel to Germany for training

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Up to $80,000.00 per year
