Field Service Engineer

How You’ll Make An Impact

• You will perform on-site installation, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting of HITACHI ENERGY products and systems, including but not limited to transformers, switchgear, power quality solutions, and control systems.
• You will conduct routine and preventative maintenance activities on customer equipment to maximize operational efficiency and extend asset lifespan.
• You will diagnose and resolve complex technical issues, provide effective solutions, and restore system functionality in a timely manner.
• You will provide technical support and training to customers on product operation, maintenance, and safety procedures.
• You will prepare detailed service reports, document all work performed, and maintain accurate records of equipment status and maintenance history.
• You will collaborate with internal teams, including sales, project management, and engineering, to ensure seamless project execution and customer support.
• You will adhere to all safety regulations, company policies, and quality standards during all field service activities.
• You will participate in on-call rotation and be available for emergency service requests as needed.
• You will be responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.

Your background

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in field service, installation, and maintenance of power systems, electrical equipment, or industrial automation.
• Strong understanding of electrical circuits, power electronics, control systems, and relevant industry standards.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnostic techniques for complex electrical and mechanical systems.
• Excellent communication skills in both Mandarin Chinese and English (written and verbal) to interact with customers and international teams.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively within Taiwan and occasionally internationally.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in challenging field environments.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a customer-focused attitude.
