Field Service Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Field Service Engineer to join our team, dedicated to delivering exceptional technical support and maintenance across manufacturing facilities. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of industrial equipment and systems. Responsibilities

Installation and Commissioning

• Install new equipment or systems at customer sites
• Configure and calibrate machinery to meet performance standards
• Perform initial tests and ensure successful handover to the client

Maintenance and Repairs

• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance
• Diagnose faults and carry out repairs or replacements
• Keep equipment running efficiently and reduce downtime

Technical Support

• Provide on-site or remote technical support to customers
• Troubleshoot software and hardware issues
• Train operators and end-users on equipment use and basic troubleshooting

Documentation and Reporting

• Maintain service logs and complete service reports
• Document technical issues, solutions, and parts used
• Report findings to the service or engineering team

Customer Relationship Management

• Act as the face of the company to customers
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction
• Explain technical issues clearly and professionally

Compliance and Safety

• Follow safety regulations and company policies
• Ensure equipment complies with industry standards and local regulations
• Execute risk assessments when required

Travel and Scheduling

• Travel frequently to customer sites, sometimes on short notice
• Work flexible hours for urgent repairs or service

Technical Skills

• Strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and/or electronic systems
• Troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with technical drawings and schematics

Experience

• Hands-on experience in technical support, maintenance, or field installations
