Field Service Engineer

A leading provider of critical power and electrical infrastructure solutions is seeking a skilled professional for an exciting contract opportunity in the data centre sector. This role is being advertised on behalf of a client committed to delivering high-quality electrical services in demanding environments.

Role Overview: The Field Service Engineer (or Site Supervisor with technical expertise) will oversee testing, commissioning, and servicing of LV switchgear and distribution systems within data centres. The position involves fault diagnosis, working with LV switchboards, ACBs, MCCBs, ATS, MCCs, and busbar systems, as well as supporting testing of UPS, generators, and critical power systems.

Required Experience and Skills:

• Minimum 5 years’ relevant electrical or field service experience
• Proven hands-on experience with LV switchgear, fault-finding, and commissioning
• Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and schematics
• Strong understanding of electrical protection and distribution systems
• Relevant electrical qualifications and certifications
• Good health & safety awareness
• Desirable: Data centre or mission-critical experience, UPS, generator, ATS systems, protection relay testing, LV/HV switching
