Field Service Engineer

About the role

Provide enterprise-level support to customers by researching, diagnosing, troubleshooting, and resolving hardware, software and tester related issues. Ensure all assigned assembly tasks are completed with compliance to quality, schedule and budget requirements within company goals to achieve Total Customer Satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software and tester related issues by understanding from customers about the issues they are facing in a detailed fashion
• In charge and responsible of tester setup, PCB assembly, software installation, and cable management
• Consult with software and hardware engineers if there is any issue that having difficulty to resolve at customer place
• Responsible troubleshooting and optimization to ensure tester in optimal operation
• Responsible for tester data collection, GRR and DOE for buy-off or verification purposes when request by customer
• Taking ownership of customer issues reported and seeing problems through to resolution
• Follow standard procedures for proper escalation of unresolved issues to the appropriate internal teams
• Provide training to client for new installed equipment and additional request of training from client for their new staff
• Report project status on timely manner and attend meetings with customers or Pentamaster team if they are required
• Authorize to make any alteration on the machine or equipment at the customer's place to make sure the machine operates at optimum level as per specification by the customer

About you

• Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical and Electronics, Manufacturing or Industrial Technology
• Minimum 2 years of experience in automation field, able to work independently without any supervision
• Technical skills in machine mechanical and electrical, working knowledge in machine assembly process
• Knowledge in reading and interpreting mechanical drawing and electrical schematics
