Location: South West England | Full-Time | Permanent

Advanced Handling are looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join their team, covering the South West of the UK.

This is an excellent opportunity for a practical, customer-focused engineer who enjoys working independently, solving problems and delivering a first-class service to customers.

The Role

As a Field Service Engineer, you will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, fault-finding and repairing materials handling equipment at customer sites throughout the South West. You will need a good understanding of both Electrical and Mechanical fault finding.

You'll play a key role in keeping customers' equipment operating safely and efficiently, providing professional support and ensuring downtime is kept to a minimum. Some over night stay in the week will be required for this role.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance, servicing and repairs on materials handling equipment.
• Diagnosing faults and completing mechanical and electrical repairs.
• Responding to breakdowns and providing an efficient, reliable service.
• Completing service reports and maintaining accurate records of work undertaken.
• Building strong relationships with customers and representing Advanced Handling professionally.
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety requirements.
• Managing your workload and travelling between customer sites across the South West.

About You

Advanced Handling are looking for an engineer who combines strong technical ability with a positive, customer-focused approach.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous experience in a field service engineering role.
• Mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience working with materials handling equipment, lifting equipment, industrial machinery or similar plant.
• The ability to work independently and manage your own workload.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Good communication skills and a professional approach to customer service.
