  • Conduct reactive repair work in a timely and professional manner.
  • Complete installation, commissioning, and testing activities as required.
  • Ensure all works are completed in accordance with relevant legislation, industry standards, and company procedures.

Customer Service & Communication

  • Maintain a professional and customer-focused approach at all times.
  • Liaise effectively with customers, colleagues, suppliers, and subcontractors.
  • Provide technical advice and recommendations where appropriate.
  • Represent the company professionally whilst working on customer sites.

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to all company Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant industry regulations and standards.
  • Maintain accurate service records, inspection reports, and associated documentation.
  • Ensure company vehicles, tools, equipment, and stock are maintained in a safe and serviceable condition.

Operational Support

  • Participate in the out-of-hours call-out rota as required.
  • Support engineering colleagues and wider business objectives.
  • Attend training and development programmes to maintain and enhance technical competence.
  • Undertake additional duties commensurate with the role as reasonably requested by management.

Person Specification

  • A minimum of five years' experience within the industrial door, automatic door, gate automation, or perimeter security industry.
  • Proven experience maintaining, servicing, and repairing automated gates, barriers, turnstiles, speed lanes, and bollards.
  • Experience diagnosing and resolving mechanical and electrical faults.
  • Strong technical and fault-finding abilities.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage a varied workload.
  • Commitment to delivering work to a high standard of quality and safety.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Eligibility to work within the UK.

  • Experience working with roller shutters and automatic doors.
  • IPAF Licence.
  • ADSA or ADIA accreditation.
  • DHF, Gate Safe, or Industrial Door safety training.

  • Experience in installation and commissioning of automated access systems.

Candidates who possess relevant industry experience but do not hold all desirable qualifications will still be considered, as additional training and development may be provided.

What We Offer

  • Competitive salary starting from £38,000, with scope for a higher salary depending on skills, experience, and industry knowledge.
