Field Service Engineer

About the Role

Are you passionate about engineering, troubleshooting and solving technical problems? Join our team as a Field Service Engineer and support customers in the installation, maintenance and repair of analytical instruments and integrated systems.

You will work with analytical technologies such as Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (LC) and GC/MSD systems, providing technical support to help customers maintain reliable equipment performance and minimize downtime.

Fresh graduates with a relevant science or engineering background are encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, service and maintain advanced analytical instruments, including Gas Chromatography (GC), Liquid Chromatography (LC) and GC/MSD systems.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and identify effective solutions to ensure reliable instrument performance.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs and equipment performance checks.
• Provide on-site technical support and assist customers with equipment operation and maintenance.
• Build positive customer relationships through responsive and professional service.
• Prepare service reports and maintain accurate service records.
• Travel to customer sites daily according to the assigned service schedule.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Biotechnology or a related scientific or engineering discipline.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Candidates with relevant working experience will have an added advantage.
• Experience in troubleshooting, problem-solving or handling laboratory and analytical instruments is an advantage.
• Familiarity with Agilent, PerkinElmer, Shimadzu or similar analytical instrument systems is an added advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers.
• Willing and able to travel daily to customer sites according to the assigned service schedule.
