What they need
We're looking for an experienced Field Service Engineer to join the Global Dental engineering team, part of HiSpace. We design, build and equip dental, medical and veterinary practices across the UK, and our engineers keep that equipment running once the practice is open.
You'll be home based, covering the North West, Cumbria and the Midlands as far as Birmingham, with a company van, working alongside our Senior Field Service Engineer and Engineer Controller.
What you'll be doing
- Breakdown repairs, servicing and installations on dental chairs, suction, compressors, autoclaves and X-ray equipment
- Planned maintenance visits, with accurate service records
- Installing and commissioning equipment on new practice fit-outs
- Logging every job on a tablet the same day, parts and part numbers included
What you'll need
- Field service experience, ideally on dental equipment. Engineers from electromechanical, medical, compressed air and vacuum, or imaging backgrounds will be considered
- Solid electrical and mechanical fault finding
- A tidy, careful way of working. Our clients treat their surgeries like their own homes
- A full UK driving licence
- A willingness to use AI. We use it across the business to cut out manual admin. You do not need any experience of it, you need to want to
What we offer
- 36,000 to 40,000 pounds a year, depending on experience
- Paid overtime for approved hours beyond 40 a week
- Company van and fuel card
- Tools, test equipment, tablet, uniform and PPE
- Manufacturer and compliance training
- 22 days holiday plus bank holidays, and a company pension
- Monday to Friday, 8.30am to 5.00pm
Pay: £36,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
Benefits:
- Company car
- Company pension
Application question(s):
- This role covers the North West, Cumbria and the Midlands as far as Birmingham, travelling from home. Can you cover this area?
- How many years of field service or mobile engineering experience do you have?
- Have you serviced or installed dental equipment (chairs, compressors, suction, autoclaves or imaging)? If so, which manufacturers?
- Are you comfortable using AI tools as part of your day to day work?
